Call for abstracts

The organizing and scientific committees welcome the submission of abstracts of original contributions for oral or poster presentations at the 23rd meeting of the European Working Group for Legionella Infections (EWGLI 2008). Abstracts must be submitted in the form outlined below. The presenting author must register and pay the registration fee when submitting an abstract. Abstracts will be reviewed by the scientific committee. If your abstract is accepted the instructions for your presentation will then be detailed.

Deadline

Abstracts must be sent no later than 7 April 2008

Presentation format and topics

On the bottom of the page please indicate the format that you prefer for your presentation (oral or poster) and the topic under which you wish to submit your abstract from the list:

• Epidemiology
• LD cases and outbreaks
• Clinical aspects and diagnosis
• Molecular typing methods
• Genomic and pathogenesis
• Hospital associated infection
• Environmental  aspects

Layout of abstracts

Please follow the rules for preparing your abstract.
Make the abstract as informative as possible, including a brief background, the aim of the study, a concise statement of methods used, a clear presentation of the results obtained and the conclusions based upon the results. Please avoid sentences like: “the results will be discussed” or “The data will be presented”.

A maximum of 2000 characters allowed, excluding title, author(s) and affiliation(s).
